Exhibition & Set Design

As part of a studio project, I designed an exhibition for the CKP Main Gallery on the theme Gandhi 150, commemorating the 150th birth anniversary of Mahatma Gandhi. The concept was rooted in the idea of tracing Gandhi’s journey through carefully curated milestones—his footsteps becoming symbolic markers of transformation, resistance, and legacy. The exhibition was visualized through a detailed scale model, with spatial narratives unfolding chronologically to reflect key moments from his life. Each section was designed to evoke introspection and engagement, using minimalist design, symbolic elements, and interactive storytelling to create an immersive, thought-provoking experience for the audience.

Set Design

On the design front, one of my most engaging projects was the creation of a revolving set design for a theatrical adaptation inspired by the art film Gaja Gamini. Rooted in the film’s layered portrayal of the eternal feminine and its poetic transitions through time, the set was conceived as a dynamic, rotating structure that allowed seamless movement between scenes and symbolic spaces. Each rotation revealed a new facet—past, present, and mythical—mirroring the multidimensional nature of the protagonist. This immersive and fluid design not only enhanced the narrative flow but also served as a visual metaphor for the ever-evolving identity of womanhood in art, mythology, and life.
